Honorary Consulate of Italy in Honolulu
The Honorary Consulate of Italy in Honolulu works under the direction of the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco. Because the Honorary Consul, Dr. Michele Carbone, does the consular work pro bono as a service to the Republic of Italy, all consular visits are by appointment only.
If you are an Italian living in the state of Hawaii, we can work with you to witness legal notarizations, perform passport biometrics, and provide some other services for Italian citizens registered as living in Hawaii. We also perform visa interviews for individuals who wish to travel to Italy.
As of March 11, 2020, the Italian government has announced a lock down on non-essential travel to Italy because of CoVID-19, a coronavirus that has reached pandemic proportions. Travel to Italy is restricted until at least April 3, 2020. the Italian government will re-assess the lock down and announce any additional changes to the lock down on April 3, 2020.
